We are excited to be designing a new residence on 7 acres in Truckee. Our goal for this project is to create a home that is simple and functional, with an efficient layout, while maintaining a modern mountain aesthetic. We needed lots of glazing on the south and east facades in order to allow for views of the surrounding mountains. We also incorporated a roofline that helps with solar heat gain in the winter, but shades from the sun in the summer. Additionally, it will shed all the snow to the rear of the house making it lower maintenance in the winters.
